GRADUATION
Graduation Requirements
Graduation rites are held once in a given school year.
- A student on his last school term should comply with the following requirements to qualify him as candidate for graduation.
- he should file his official application for graduation with the Registrar’s
Office.
- he should have completed all academic and non- academic requirements.
- His eligibility for graduation has been approved by the College Registrar.
- He should have taken his college course in PhilCST for at least four semesters before graduation.
- He must have settled all obligation to the school and accomplished graduation clearance.
- He must have complied with all the requirements deemed necessary by the College Dean pr his representative.
2. Student must check/ confirm his name on the final list of graduating class posted
at the bulletin board of the Registrar’s Office.
Graduation Procedure
1. As early as possible, candidate for graduation must request for first evaluation
to enable him to determine if he qualifies to graduate.
2. Qualified student must secure an Application For Graduation and fills in the
necessary information.
3. The student must verify his name on the list of “APPROVED “,
DISAPPROVED”, APPROVED WITH DEFFICIENCY” graduating
candidates posted on the Bulletin board signed by the College Registrar.
4. The student accomplishes graduation clearance for approved application.
5. The College facilities the renting of graduation toga.
6. The candidate for graduation must attend the graduation rehearsals schedule before the graduation rites.
GRADUATION WITH HONORS
The appropriate graduation honors and the prescribed minimum final rating in any subject for the entire duration of the program shall be:
1. Cum Laude
87.95-91.94 5 – with no grade in any one subject below 85%, or their equivalents.
2. Magna Cum Laude
91.95-94.94% - with no grade in any one subject below 89%, or their equivalents.
3. Summa Cum Laude
94.95 & above – with not grade in any one subject below 93%, or their equivalents.
The foregoing honors are subject to the following conditions.
1. A candidate for graduation with honors must have taken at least 18 units of
Credit during each semester and/ or 6 units during each summer of the prescribed regular load of the College/ Department. Working students who are candidates for graduation with honors must have taken not less than 12 units of credits each semester and 3 units during each summer.
2. Student who are graduating and have less than 18 units left must carry a load
not less than 12 units during the last semester.
3. Students who are disqualified from graduating with honors but have a weighted average equal to the requirements for graduation with honors shall be given Special Distinction, provided these student have no grade lower than 2.5 or 80%.
4. The student must have a residence equivalent to at least 75% of the entire course he is enrolled in.
5. Only students who have completed_all academic requirements for their degree as of the date of conferment will be granted academic honors.
