Shake,
Rattle & Roll at Woodhaven Lakes in Sublette, IL was a lot of fun! As always
the recreation department puts on a fabulous themed weekend. Again, I appeared
on Saturday at the Flea Market. This time I took a break and I was able to look
around. I purchased a music box for my mom. (We have no idea what it plays.)
AND before the market even started the boys found a scooter. IT was the same one
that Matthew wanted from MC Sports. So now the boys fight over who gets to ride
it. Saturday night we listened to the Neverly Brothers and then watched a
spectacular firework display. On Sunday Rootbeer floats were $1.00 and we
created some T-bird magnets as well as Turtles out of paper bowls at the Nature
Center. Did I mention we have a new addition to the family. SCRUFFY! ==> And
he went on his first camping trip this weekend. Again, I wish I could have taken
pictures with everyone, but I don't take pictures very well. My eyes always look
closed or I gain a few extra chins.

Hello
Rosemarie,
Thank you for agreeing to be interviewed on my blog. It's a pleasure having you
here today.
Thank you for having me Linda.
Would you please tell us more about you? I'm a single mom
and a fire department secretary for a department located in the western suburbs
of Chicago. I'm the author of two romance novels, Falling Roses and Falling
Roses: The Years Between.
Could you tell us about your current release or soon to be releases? My
current release is Falling Roses: The Years Between.
When Jackie Ravolie was four years old her mother and father were abducted and
buried alive in a coffin. Her father lived, however her mother died a month
later at the hospital. Twelve years later, Jackie chose a career path of working
with the mentally challenged and she along with her vocational class visits the
Long Island Rehabilitation Hospital where she views a woman named Kathryn Morris
who suffers from amnesia. She looks like an older version of her mother. Jackie
and her half-brother Robbie kidnap this woman and bring her home, where Dad
finds her in the kitchen. Gabrielle Ravolie indeed is alive and the mob is after
the family again. Falling Roses: The Years Between is a novel filled with
romance, drama, secret baby, and a few love triangles all wrapped into one.
When did you realize you wanted to become a writer? When I
was in high-school.
How long did it take for your first book to be published? It
took about 2 years to rewrite and have it edited professionally.
What do you hope readers get out of reading one of your books? Another
world that they can get lost in.
What does your family think about having a writer in the family? They're
proud of me. They show their support in different ways.
What is the most valuable piece of advice that you have ever been given? Your
passion is waiting for your courage to catch up.
When you are not writing what are you doing? Promoting.
Would you like to share your web site's where readers can visit you?

Romance Reviews
Lying in a hospital bed comatose
for two months, fourteen year old Gabriella awakens to Johnny Ravolie by her
side. Why would her favorite rock star be sitting right beside her in her
hospital room? This is only the beginning of strange events yet to come.
Upon waking Johnny and Gabriella only have a short time together. The last
moment they share in that hospital room, Johnny professes his love to
Gabriella. Before leaving with a retched woman, he promises to come back to
Gabriella if she promises to wait for him. She must also promise to keep the
secret of his love to herself so he is not locked up for her being underage.
When Johnny's psychotic ex-girlfriend starts threatening a pregnant
Gabriella and even has a few successful kidnapping attempts, Johnny and
Gabriella never give up hope that they will be together forever. Bernadette
is cold and all around wretched, she tries to kill Gabriella every chance
she gets. Will she ever succeed in burying her competition?
Johnny is not always innocent Gabriella soon finds out; he seems to be a
ladies man. Constantly explaining himself to Gabriella, she begins to
question his fidelity to her. One night she grabbed a pizza and a few
groceries to surprise Johnny; he's so surprised that he can barely pull his
pants on. Especially since there is another woman in bed with him.
Gabriella finds comfort in the arms of another man that night, her friend
J.J welcomes her with open arms. But this one night will be the mistake that
will haunt her and may very well ruin what future Johnny and she may have
together. What will Johnny say when he finds out the truth about his son
Robbie?
Romance, love, mystery, drama, and a one night stand are all compiled into
this beautifully written book. Rosemarie Piemonte captures perfectly the
feelings of a young girl in love, that has experienced a very eventful young
adult life. I had a hard time seeing the innocence of Gabrielle as she
appeared much older than fourteen by her actions, but if you're in love you
will go any where and do anything to be with the one you love. I fell in
love with Fallen Roses, this is most definitely near the top of my favorites
list.
If you are looking for a love story with a lot of kick, then this is the
book for you. Ms. Piemonte is an exceptional storyteller. I could go on and
on about this book; but I don't want to give too much away, you must read
this for yourself. It rightfully earns 5 hearts and I am sure to be reading
this one again!

Demystifying Writers’ Demons©
One by One
by Joan Upton Hall
Possessives
- Joint Ownership
To
show possession when two or more nouns own one thing, place an apostrophe with
the last noun in the series. To indicate separate ownership, place apostrophes
with each noun.
Joint
ownership
“Meet
at
Ogden
, Jean, and Sylvia’s house.” (they share a house)
“Have
you read Renni and Dave’s book?” (they are co-authors)
Individual
ownership
“The
tour includes Ogden’s, Jean’s, and Sylvia’ houses.” (separate houses)
“You
will find Renni’s and Dave’s books in the library.” (authors of separate
books)
According to similar reasoning,
Possessive Pronouns, which require no apostrophe, show that
ownership is joint or individual like this:
“Your
[not yours] and my contribution will
be acknowledged in the book.” (a shared contribution, thus joint ownership)
“Various
contributions are listed as yours, hers, or mine.” (individual ownership)
Do demons bedevil your writing? Similar, confusing words? Grammar,
punctuation, or capitalization rules? “The Demystifier” will clear up the
mystery (primary reference unless otherwise noted: Garner, Bryan A. Dictionary
of Modern American Usage. N.Y.:

Press). Address questions and comments to freelance editor, Joan
Upton Hall at: jmuHall@aol.com. More problems like the one above are demystified

Last Book I Read
Rusty Nail by J.A. Konrath
Lieutenant Jacqueline "Jack"
Daniels of the Chicago Police Department is back, and once again she's up to her
Armani in murder. With her stalwart partner hospitalized and unable to help.
Jack follows a trail of death throughout the Midwest, on a collision course with
the smartest and deadliest adversary she's ever known. Rusty Nail features more
of the laugh-out-loud humor and crazy characters that saturated Whiskey Sour and
Bloody Mary, without sacrificing the nail-biting thrills. This is Jack Daniel's
third exciting adventure.
J.A. Konrath is an absolutely amazing
writer. His writing and story line is a work of brilliance! The characters were
being tortured and I was laughing out loud. If you like thrillers and murder
mysteries and can deal with dead people this book is for you. I love Jackie
Daniels! This book is better than Silence of
the Lambs! I've only read Whiskey Sour and now Rusty Nail and I'm definitely
looking forward to reading the other Jack Daniel's mysteries. I hope this series
never ends.
