REACH OUT TO THE WHOLE WORLD

A MESSAGE FROM NATIONAL SECRETARIAT TO ADVENTIST YOUTH AT VARIOUS YOUTH CAMP SITES IN GHANA

“With such an army of workers as youth, rightly trained, mighty furnished, how soon the message of a crucified, risen and soon-coming Saviour might be carried to the whole world: How soon might the end come, - the end of suffering and sorrow and sin”… (Message to young people pg. 196).

Greeting to you all in the Name of our Elder Brother and Saviour who has called us to work in his vineyard.

I bring you these good tidings from the National Secretariat of GNAAS.

As leaders of this Noble Association, we saw it as a necessity to join our brothers and sisters at this year’s Youth Camp at the various Youth Camp sites in the country to share some few thought with you.

Friends In the Lord, GNAAS and AYS are not two separate clubs that one joins when he or she feels like. These two associations are not at the battle-front neither are they competing for members. The pioneers of these associations were men and women who were led by the spirit to see to the establishment of the associations for the betterment of the Seventh-Day Adventist Youth.

The aims, objectives and purpose of establishing these associations are more or less the same. While AYS was meant to train the Seventh-Day Adventist Youth to send the Adventist message to all the world in this our generation, GNAAS was established to Unite Seventh-Day Adventist Youth in the various secondary and tertiary institutions so that we do not loose our faith and our identity as Remnant people. The AYS is the mother Society Incorporating all Seventh-Day Adventist Youth whether student or an artisan.

Therefore, under no circumstance should one say I’m now in the secondary or tertiary institution so I am not part of the AYS or pathfinder. Neither should any one say that I’m a youth member and as such, not a GNAAS member though a student.

We should from today bear in mind that every student in the secondary or tertiary institutions is a GNAAS member automatically and every GNAAS member is also a youth member automatically so far as you remain in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters in the Lord, the Lord needs us, the church needs us, so is the nation. God has specially called for a special task for the last days.

Did you know that historically, God has often launched great revival through young men and women? What has happened to our time? Ministries that don’t minister, Revivals that don’t revive. Revivals of yesterday brought deep heart searching, humility, wrestling for souls; conversion that shrank not at self-denial and sacrifice. Indeed times have changed. The world is literally coming into the church. What has happened? and why has it happened.

The moral fibre of the Seventh-Day Adventist youth today is nothing to speak of. We have become so worldly that it seems the church has no future.

But I believe that there exist today, an army of dedicated young people within the church (SDA) who yearn to demonstrate Nehemiah’s Leadership, Daniel’s Integrity, Mary’s Humility, Paul’s Passion for Evangelism and Christ love for God and humanity.

As scriptured in Acts 2:17, God is going to cause another great revival in his church and he’s going to use young men and women like you and I.

But wait a minute. God is not going to use just anybody. God is going to use young people who have re-ordered their lives to suit heaven. God is going to use youth who believe in primitive goodliness and Biblical Adventism and are prepared to forsake all forms of unholy Acts.

Remember that A Youthless Church is a useless church. The youth that God is going raise to left high the blood-stained banner of the cross and to bring revival in our churches are young men and women who have.

  • A respect for scripture
  • An appreciation for the Spirit of prophecy
  • A guest for Biblical holiness
  • A vibrant worship experience
  • A passion for lost souls
  • A cultivation of godly relationships
  • An exemplary and Abundant lifestyle
  • An Enthusiasm for service
  • A commitment to the Seventh-Day Adventist Church as God’s remnant church.
  • An attitude of humility and cordiality

At this annual youth camp, don’t just be here for being here sake but take this opportunity to work your own salvation with fear and trembling. Jesus is coming soon.
