Natla was weak after the fight with Lara. She was playing possum again the second time she fell. She just didn't want to get up, in fear that she might be wounded to the point that she couldn't get away from the shaking and shivering Atlantis. It was going to blow up, and Natla realized this.

Although she hated seeing her world going to a waste, she sat up after Lara dissapeared. She looked around one last time. With a single swear word under her breath, she flew up, and out, just in time. She saw Lara driving her boat away.

Although this angered Natla, Natla found this as a convenient way of escape. Natla used the rest of her strength and grabbed the end of the boat, hiding in the cargo area. She fell asleep, just as Lara had done on their way over there. She was so tired she could hardly do a thing. Natla just about instantly KOed right then and there as soon as she lie down.

A few hours later, Natla could feel the boat stop, and some movement. She opened her eyes. She looked up, and put her long fingers in her short blond hair. Her cyan eyes were so tired looking. Then she heard movement at the top of the deck. She looked up. "....."

She could almost feel Lara Croft's vibrating steps as she walked atop of Natla's head. Natla couldn't really even stay conscious for that. She fell back asleep.

Natla really woke up near midnight. She was still in the ship. She sat up, wondering if Lara might still be there, or who might be up there. Natla was still too tired to take on someone strong. She cautiously raised the door. She looked around, and then, when she saw no one, Natla slowly climbed out. She looked up at the stars.

'If it weren't for me... Moving away in time... I'd be up there... Dead...' She thought, and she turned around, looking at the bright lights of the city. Natla was too weak to fly, so she took a graceful swan dive into the water, swimming the rest of the way. It wasn't a very far swim, but she barely made it. She was able to climb out and stand up. Her wounds were really hurting her, and she was horribly tired.

From out of nowhere, this other lady appeared. She was tall, skinny, just like Natla was, and she had long black hair. She was wearing buisness clothes. Natla recognized this person. She was a worker at Natla Technologies. Her name was Marinda Divahna.

"Miss Natla!" She said, looking suprised, "What in the world happened to you? Where did you get thoes wings?"

Natla didn't feel like explaining. "I need to get to a first aid kit... I've been shot..." She said. She was still bleeding, but not as badly.

"Right away!" Said Marinda, putting an arm around the demon. She helped Natla to her own home, seeing as Natla Technologies was way too far of a walk to make Natla go, especially in pain, bleeding, and on foot. She let Natla have a bath, let her tend to her wounds, and let Natla sleep for as long as she wanted. Marinda did not know what Natla had done. She had mistaken Natla as a kind lady. She had no idea what het true intentions were.

When Natla woke up, and in a better mood that day, she had put on new clothes, and she was not in as much pain. She could feel some energy coming back. She was feeling very good.

When Natla appeared from her long slumber, Marinda greeted her with a smile, and then said, "Miss Natla, where did you get thoes wings? How did you're arm turn into a huge gun?" Marinda was trying not to look as afraid as she really was.

Natla, determined to make Lara Croft look bad, sat down and faced Marinda. "Well... When I was away on my little trip, Lara Croft had snuck along. She hated me because I was making more money than she was."

            Marina covered her mouth.

"And she captured us. She killed everyone that was with me, and she put me in a lab, transforming me into the mutant that I am." Natla said.

Marinda stared at Natla, "Lara Croft? Oh no, not her, she's on the good side!"

"Thats what she wants you to think."

Marina stood up, "We need to report her to the police!"

As Marinda walked off, Natla thought, 'Yes, Marinda, get Lara in jail and unable to save the world...'

Later on in the month, Natla was sitting in her own business office, reading a newspaper. When she looked down at some of the titles, her eyes widened. Natla was perfectly pleased with what she saw.

            "Lara Croft Arrested!"

Lara Croft was currently arrested just 24 hours ago. She is facing trial for Human Torture and the killings of more than 3 of the innocent people. If found Guilty, she will have life in prison, for changing a perfectly normal business woman into some ugly Mutant, out of Lara Crofts own satisfaction.

...Well... Natla liked most of it. She didn't quite agree with the "Ugly Mutant". Natla closed up the papers, thinking of more weights to put on Lara's back, as a figure of speech. Still. Natla was still too weak to actually do anything. Yet.

But she did know what to do now. She would go into Lara's home and search for the pieces of the Scion, which she had heard rumors of Lara having. Natla had a feeling that she could get into the Treasure room and get the Scion. That was her number one goal. She could restore power again with the Scion.

Natla went to Lara's home, and decided to try to approach things the easy way at first. If things did not go smoothly, then she would just slaughter anyone and everyone in the house in the house, even if it meant dea-

A old butler answered the door. Death? Ha! Piece of cake.

As she hid her wings, and a gun for an arm that she wrapped up in bandages to make it look broken, the Butler said, "Yes, what can I do for you, ma'am?" He asked, setting a tray down to the side.

"May I take a tour of this lovely home? I love this lovely home!"

            The Butler shook his head.

"I'm sorry Ma'am... But since Miss Crofts wrongly-made arrest... I cannot do this without her permission."

Natla slowly took her bandage off, to reveal a gun.

"I'm sorry. But I must insist. Take me to her treasure room."

"But ma'am, I can not." He said, lifting his tray up to protect himself.

Natla held him up by his shirt collar. He was an old man, and this really hurt him. He farted in fear. Natla laughed at him, as he struggled as weak as he was. She shook him evilly, determined.

"Where is the Treasure Room?!" She boomed out.

She threw the butler down. "Its... Its there..." He pointed to a door in the wall.

Natla tried to open it, but she was unable, so she just blasted through it. She found the Scion pieces. "Oh... Oh my precious babies...." She picked them up, and then walked back outside, "You..." She thought of a place to put him, "To the freezer with you!"

As soon as Natla got the Scion, she sat down in her own business room, and she put it back together. As much of it as she could, that was...

"Oh no!" She thought, and then said under her breath, "The rest of the pieces must have sunk with Atlantis..."

Soon, Natla got as many people as she could on an expedition to find the lost city. Many people gathered into the ocean, and dived deep, looking and searching hard. Even Natla herself.

Natla was suprised at well hidden the city was. She herself, one of the three leaders, could not find Atlantis; nor the last parts of the Scion. This aggrivated Natla. Natla just wanted once, for something to go right. Now that she had Lara completely helpless in jail for the current moment, she couldn't even find Atlantis!

No matter how discouraged Natla got, she did not give up the search. She searched and searched and searched and searched, until she finally had to rest. She did not want to rest. But soon, she decided to give up the search, and let other people go for it, while she slept.

When Natla lay down, her mind wondered back as far as it could remember. She could remember Qualopec and Tihocan. She remembered that she was going to be imprisoned by them. She called out to Tihocan. Tihocan didn't come to her aid. Instead, he was the one who said, "Greet you're eternal unrest, Natla!", even after she called out for help! This angered Natla even more, making it a very restless sleep.

But Natla didn't sleep soundly; no; she dreamed. She dreamed about the days when she ruled Atlantis, the days when she created thoes evil monsters. She was so happy, to be making a new generation. But then the dream returned to her nasty imprisonment. As soon as she swore at Tihocan and Qualopec, her eyes shot open. But it was dawn, and the light was too much for poor Natla. She closed her eyes and turned away.

Soon, Natla was at Highland Fling. She figured that, in the very, ugly, nasty, and murkey water, that there could be some clue to where Atlantis is; or maybe the Scion pieces. Natla cautiously looked around. She felt watched by... Something. Something was out there. But Natla wasn't afraid. She always took her dangers and enemies head on.

But she wasn't expecting this. Oh no.

Natla took a dive into the nasty water. She couldn't see a thing. But still, she felt more watched than she did outside the water. She ventured to open her eyes. She could only see murkyness. But then... Something long and green flashed past her. She reached out, and it felt scaly.

"..." Natla looked around, to see a pair of red eyes, right beside her cheek. She realized now why no one came here... Nesse was in these waters. Nesse was planning on making Natla his next dinner. Well, Nesse, here, wasn't going to get this meal! Natla wasn't going to let some snake get in her way, no, not after going this far... Natla's life's work was way too important for anyone to just erase. She wasn't going to let this thing eat her.

Natla suddenly jerked, landing on the Lochness Monsters neck. It roared and leapt up above the water, giving Natla a breath. This helped. Natla still held on. Even though she didn't have the Scion, she was not weak.

Nesse tried hard to bite her, tried to thrust her off. This wasn't doing anything. Natla was too bullheaded and stubborn to let go. She wouldn't lose for anything. "You weak little monster!" She said, still holding on, "Take me to Atlantis, or die!"

Nesse slammed itself into the water. This hurt Natla very much. This slam was unexpected. She had to let go. This blow almost knocked her unconscience. She laid there, limp in the water. "........................" She opened her eye weakly, which she looked above the water. She could see the monster coming at her. She forced herself on her back, just as the monster opened his mouth and snapped, she held his large jaws apart.

Natla was suprised at this great power it had; "Uuuuggghhh!" She growled, sweat appearing on her head. She knew that she couldn't last much longer. She had to use the last of her energy to get away.

Suddenly, Natla jerked herself, she forced herself away from the jaws of death. She had died twice. She didn't want to go a third time. She caught herself on her hurt wings, and she flew to the island. She landed on her belly.

Nesse still came at Natla. She was able to get up off her belly, and she ran up full speed to where the flag was. Nesse could almost reach her. Natla knew that in a short amount of time, the monster would be able to reach her. She had to get rid of this monster. She either had to kill it or find a way to stall it while she searched.

Suddenly, an idea came to her. She quickly hopped down, where the monster could reach her. She was a little nervous that this plan would not work, but she had to try. She ran behind rocks, but when she tried to 'hide', the Lochness Monster would slam its tail into it, destroying it.

Then, Natla led it to the big tower. She hid behind it. The monster slithered to it, slamming several times into it. When the tower finally fell, Nesse made a dive for Natla, the huge tower falling on top of it. It struggled. Natla realized that if she didn't use her time wisely and quickly, the monster would be free again before long.

Natla took a dive into the water. She noticed a few glints. "The Scion!" She thought happily as she rushed for it, grabbing at it. It didn't feel like the Scion... but she pulled it out anyways out of pure curiosity.

When she pulled it out, she gasped when she examined it.

"Its... Its the Atlanticon! No one ever knew... Where that thing was... This is what my old best friend made before it killed her..."

The Atlanticon was a golden cat. The cat was powerful, and if you touched it, you could have any wish you wanted. But, if the cat touched you, you would turn to gold. Not even a wish could bring you back.

Since Natla touched it, she could have her own very wish!

"I wish for the Scion! The Scion pieces to be put back together, powerful as ever!"

As soon as she said that, the Lochness monster leapt at her from behind. It must have struggled free! It bit the Atlanticon right out of Natla's hands, destroying it.

But before Natla could scream, throw a fit, curse it, or even breathe, the monster turned gold, and then to the Scion itself. It fell into Natla's hands. Natla's eyes were pretty big by that time.

But, without saying a word, she made a graceful swan dive into the murky waters, and then swam into the nice, clear waters of Highland Fling, her business done here. She walked to the small helicopter that was waiting for her. For now, she didn't need to find Atlantis. She could create her own world.

When she returned to her office, she just laid back. She hadn't taken a bath yet; but she needed one; her face and skin and clothes were terribly ripped and muddy, she was pierced with the sharp teeth of the Lochness Monster, plus her hair was not straight; it was all matted and tangled. She walked into the next room that she had built, with a small bed, and lay down, to sleep.

Her sleep wasn't so great that time, in itself. She kept dreaming about her Scion being taken away from her, and tossed away... And then being kept prisoner, and watching Tihocan's eyes... Devoid of any emotions.... just watching as she slipped into another world... To die...

Natla shot up this time. It was a little dark out, but there was a hint showing that the sun was coming up soon. She sat up, her wings outstreched. "Why can I never sleep?" She asked herself, her beatuiful cyan eyes glinting in what little light there was, "Are Tihocan and Qualopec still haunting me... After all this time... After their own deaths?"

Natla got up, realizing that she hadn't even taken off her own dirty clothes. She must have been tired. She took herself a quick bath, and then, headed back to bed, but then she heard talking. Marinda had come in.

"Miss Natla!" Marinda said, sounding as if she had been shot in the back and paralyzed.

            "Yes, Marinda?"

"Lara Croft is out of prison! She got bailed out!"

            Natla couldn't believe her ears.

"Miss Natla, she is heading this way, and she's angry!"

Nata didn't listen for more. She grabbed her Scion, and she took off. She ran out of Natla Technologies just in time to greet a bare-teethed Lara. Before Lara could say a word, however, Natla said, "Lara. We finish this in the Canyon. We have room to fight."

"If you don't appear in the Canyon at 12:00 midnight exact," Threatened Lara, "I'll come to find you myself!" Lara sped off on her motorcyle, yelling, "And if I have to do that, I won't give you any other chances! We're going to end this tonight, Natla!" And then she dissapeared off into the darkness.

At precisely 12:00 midnight, the two ladies stood across from eachother. Natla stared deep into Lara's angry eyes. Lara had every gun that she had in posession with her. Natla only had her gun-for-an-arm and her Scion. Natla wasn't even sure if the Scion was the same... She didn't wish for the exact powers. Natla hoped that the Scion had some power though... If it didn't, then she was pretty much as weak as she was the last time she fought Lara...

"I didn't expect you to actually make it here, Natla," Said Lara, "I guess you have the guts after all."

"Heh, you should know, Lara Croft, that I am no wimp."

"I never said you were a wimp exactly, but I expected more of... A sneak attack."

"I agree with you, Lara, we end this tonight."

Lara drew out her MP5, but then withdrew it. "Wait.. No guns. Lets fight girl to girl. Fight me not as a Demon, Natla." Lara slowly withdrew her gun, as Natla used the Scion to make her gun-for-arm and wings dissapear.

The two females looked at eachother, each one determined to win... Then Natla made a dive at Lara. Lara leapt out of the way, giving Natla a nice kick in the face. This stunned Natla for only a second, but made her angry. She was able to trip Lara, and slam her into the canyon wall, but Lara was able to grab Natla's shoulders and hurl her away. Natla caught her balance, but her shoes came off. No matter; they slowed her down anyways.

Suddenly, out of just instinct, Lara grabbed her gun, shooting Natla in her chest. Natla gasped, gritting her teeth. This made Natla's arm turn to a gun, and shoot fireballs at Lara. Natla's chest was bleeding, and slowing her down just a little, and then Lara made a huge leap at Natla, both of them plummeting off the canyon wall. Both girls screamed, and landed harshly in the water. Both females stuck their heads out of the water. Natla found this her chance, climbing onto the nearest rock, and grabbing Lara's long braid, and pulling her, screaming, over to the city, where she tried to drop Lara from a height.

Lucky for Lara, she was able to grab a wire without being electricuted, and then let go, landing on a travelling car. As she balanced on the car, she fired a rocket at Natla, who fired a fireball, and the collision of the two made impact; then an explosion. People screamed and ran for cover.

Natla then made a huge burst of speed towards a gas station. She waited for Lara to catch up. Lara was on her motorcycle, speeding towards where Natla had landed, when Natla made the gas tanks explode, killing lots and lots of innocent people nearby. Lara skidded to a halt, falling off her mortorcycle, the motorcycle skidding and landing in the fire, blowing up itself. Natla had gotten away before risking at taking any damage to the explosion.

Natla was still hurting in her chest, and it was making her alot weaker. When she saw Lara getting up, she was able to make another shot, hitting Lara's leg. Lara screamed as she lost use of her left foot. Lara limped, but still went fast. She leapt onto a fence, and then leapt onto a rooftop. There, she stood and shot at Natla. Natla was hit again. Natla fell to the ground, screaming in pain as a bullet hit her chest again. This one really hurt.

Suddenly, Natla started glowing. "...Huh?" She asked herself as she suddenly healed. "The Scion... Has healing powers...?" She grinned, bursting with speed towards Lara. Lara yelped when Natla headbutted her suddenly in her belly. Lara staggered backwards, trying to catch her balance. Natla laughed maniacly as she raised her right hand, spikes flying out everywhere from the rooftop. They stabbed Lara. Lara let out a yell, when a spike went right through her.

Lara took one last breath, and then she died. Right there. On that rooftop. There was no way that the world could be safe from Natla now. Lara Croft, the legendary Adventuress... Defeated and finally killed... Meeting her doom. Natla stood there in shock for a few moments, and then grinned.

"...I killed her... I killed her..." Natla threw her head back, her arms in the air, laughing wildly. The Atlantean race was coming back to the world, and the rest of the world, unable to ever know of Atlantis, was now going to become Atlantis. Natla had won, and she was the most powerful of them all, now.

Natla, a year later now, sat atop what used to be Natla Technologies, looking at all the monsters she had created. Natla couldn't have been more proud of herself. The time she died because of Tihocan and Qualopec... Then Lara... It was all worth it. Now Natla was the winner. She came out on top. She was the best of them all. She had finally been able to carry out the revenge of Tihocan and Qualopec, by being able to create thoes evil savage things, and she had finally been able to revenge over Lara... Being able to take over the world. She was now not only the ruler of Atlantis... But all the world. Everything and everybody. No one could kill her now. She was unstoppable.

Natla smiled, "I guess everything that has happened to me could have been a little different..." She noticed an Atlantean creature ripping off the head of some male human, "But if it did... Then it wouldn't be this way. Now I am ruler, and now I can do as I please... Without worry of Tihocan or Qualopec, or even that silly Lara Croft to ever get in my way."

Natla lay back, watching all her evil things keep destroying, her beautiful cyan eyes twinkling with an evil kind of love, sitting under the stars of the night sky. Natla had finally completed her life's work.

As the world became engulfed into a new world; a new generation... The world turned into Atlantis... With all the strong survivalists, the new generation... The Atlanteans that Lara had once tried so hard to kill... And Natla's dreams had finally became reality.
